Alright folks, ultragauge showed up so I'll get that installed tonight hopefully.

Any tips on setting it up? Or is it pretty straight forward

Finally, the real fun can begin!

Go and check the Instrumentation section on here. There should be a decent write around.

And Fat Charlie is correct. It will take a few tanks for you to get the calibration spot on.

Wow, the darn thing is smaller smaller than I expected. I like it! Will have to calibrate it on the way to work tomorrow with GPS, but I got the gauges I want on page 1 setup.

Did a quick drive around town to see how it would work, dang that instant mpg will be nice!

Careful, on boring drives I find myself watching my gauge more than the road. It's wonderfully distracting.

Can't wait to see what results you get out of the new gauge!

The UG just might make a radical hypermiler out of you

I propose a challenge! 3 tank average of 40+ for 2015!

UG has a great form factor and a nice screen display.

Your routine for calibration and such when you fill up will take some time to learn though...

Enjoy your trip down the rabbit hole

Your ZX3 is making me miss my lil SVT Focus.

The svt's are nice! I didnt want to deal with vct though, but I would love svt bumpers. Base.model focus bumpers are well, hideous.

First trip with ultragauge, 110 km. Got the distance meter calibrated. It was actually dead on as I plugged in. Measured with 2 GPS devices. So I'm confident its accurate. Over the whole trip it was dead on to 2 decimal points.

As for mpg figures, I went ripping around last night just to see how low I could make it go, 1 mpg lol.

So I started my morning commute with an average of 20.5 mpg.

By the time I got to work, its sitting at 35.5 mpg.

Now these figured may be off as I guess there's some kind of calibration for fuel as well? I'll double check when I fill up and compare figures.

But so far I'm happy.

I have the gauges set up as follows.

Speed - instant mpg
Avg mpg - (uh... Crap can't remember)
Distance - intake air temp

Will change these after I get everything calibrated.
I wanted IAT on there just to see, when I'm on the highway ot displays anywhere from 4° C to 7° C ( 40F - 45F)

This seems kind of low? May block off upper grill and see.

Keel in mind it was below 0 this morning. (32F)

Overall good purchase already. I have already figured out how much to accelerate during p&g to be more efficient. Will get better as time goes on, going to switch IAT gauge out for either TPS or load% before I leave work. That should help.

With the gauge, there's no such thing as a boring drive anymore.

Ok, setup the gauge with how I want it.

Speed - instant mpg
Avg mpg - trip mpg
Distance - engine load%

Should be pretty good gauges to have as defaults.
May switch out load for tps, will see how it works.
