I wonder how much the design of that roof was drag related.

It's too bad the hood ornament completely offsets the gains from the roofline.

I'm not a fan of the wheels. Not because they aren't full moons or pizza pans, rather because to me they just don't look to hold up the Rolls image.

I work for RR on the launch team, including the Wraith. It's a very fine bit of kit as is the Ghost its based on. No it does not have much in the way of eco credentials except there is a lot of rather lovely wood on the inside & the factory is quite eco friendly.

I'll post some pics up once I have enough posts to my name- aha I have

If you have any questions RR related fire away, being a "RR Product Specialist" & all that

I still think of the Rolls and (R.I.P.) Maybach as a car for when you want someone else to drive.

A two seater (reasonably) seems strange to me. Beautiful, nonetheless,

^^^Agreed. You shouldn't be driving a RR, unless it's your job to drive a RR! But maybe that is the stigma they are trying to escape.

Agreed, and good point! With the success Bentley has had with premium performance cars, I imagine there is a market for the super wealthy to have something sporty. And at the end of the day, whether you and some one else are being driven in the back seat, or you and someone else are driving in the front seat, only two people are really going somewhere lol.

The Ghost & the Wraith are generally sold to those who drive, they are most definitely a drivers car & most of the customers for them are proper perolheads too. The Phantom is the one to be driven in.

A ghost is VERY rapid bit of kit & will shame many a super car on a typical English country road or at the traffic light Grand Prix

In case your wondering I have tried eco driving one & managed a very respectable 29mpg considering they are 2.3tons & have the best part of 500bhp to play with thats pretty good going I thought.

Ghost, Wraith, Phantom... I'm sensing a theme here!

I would definitely take 29MPG in a deuce and a half! I can't even get that in my stock 4Runner! Which one did you eco drive?

When I first laid eyes on the Wraith I felt as if Rolls-Royce had gone through some transformational experience.
Both the Wraith and Bentley Continental GT are such a departure from past products, that it's as if we've entered into a completely different demographic for the market.
Both cars appear so aerodynamically optimized that by default, they will represent a 'green' apparition.
It feels good to be on this side of product planning!
Hope you and your team had a good time with the birthing process.
