In all fairness they would be stupid to change much, the resale on these things is ridiculous. I swear I can buy a brand new one for less then a 3 year old one. You can hardly find even a 20 year old one for 1/2 what it was new.

A good friend bought the new JK at introduction in 2007. Four door, man trans and low options. Over 20-mpg in all situations except running down Padre Island fifty miles or more.
At 180k miles it has been almost trouble free past a couple of early warranty claims.
A highly competent vehicle given its shape and weight.
