That's pretty stupid.
My 1865 flintlock wound barrel long rifle doesn't have a serial number either. Nor do my replica .75 caliber smooth bore pistolas built from a couple of kits maybe 30 years ago
How would you know what the assembly sequence number is?

$ounds like a sham way to bust you if they can't find anything else and you have ghost assault rifles lying about assembled from parts.

The Fuzz still does that

It's constitutionally unenforceable, and would fail in the supreme court once the more corrupted lower courts shirked their constitutional duties.

As an aside, most guns will be "ghost" as an increasing amount of manufacturing occurs at home.

Since technology always increases the capabilities of individuals and groups, the long-term solution is better people; not mandating objects become more impotent. The Great Filter is this; does the species increase their moral fortitude in proportion to their capabilities? If not, they go away permanently.

For reference:

My questions are these:
  • Who picks the number?
  • Does it have to be reported to anyone?
  • How long might it be? 50 characters? 256 characters?
A long string might prompt a buffer overflow, pace XKCD/327:

Been my experience the input buffer truncates and fires an fatal error, except in cobol where it just keeps reading and shifts left the extra data out of the buffer. Would depend on your error checking.

Sorry, I don't believe utube.

All the oregon ATM I experience work anywhere

I saw [my first] one on 14th Street in Springfield a few weeks ago. Never expected that it would be there.

This confirms Tesla's published Cd, and the benefit to the longitudinal edges.

The five or so known to live in Reno have gone underground. Apparently everyone young does an exaggerated laughing pantomime when a cybertruck is at a stoplight.

' laughing '

Yeah, Adam probably split his guts when he got his first look at Eve.
But with 9,000,000,000 souls on Earth now, it looks like 'we got over it.'

Maybe they're out in the desert?

The video at #117 satisfies aerohead's requirement for valid CFD -- a highly detailed model and endless computational capacity in the cloud. A demonstration by Airshaper themselves.

Apparently there is a new Cybertruck plant going up in Nevada. They never build a factory the same way twice. The Austin factory is larger than the Pentagon. This look to be the World's largest shed.
