The only way to actually test if they would work would be to use a generator get it to full temp shut it off. Then have the different mixes ready in separate containers and run each container empty and log the run time. Although that will not give you results for a car.

Did this with a push lawnmower and saw a 3% mpg gain using 3 oz acetone per 10 G. Problem was it took 40 mins or so to run out 4 oz gas mix...PITA.
Generator with a reasonable load would be best...keep run time to 20 mins or less?

Pretty good! Got the '59 on the trailer, heading for winter storage but sheesh was it nice out today- lots of sweating! Yesterday I pulled me old springer Schwinn down from the rafters and rode that around- fun! And now to finish raking the leaves- a bumper crop this year. How's yourself?
