Today is the first anniversary of my Civic on Ecomodder. The single most significant revelation of that: I drive a lot.

With what's recorded on the garage page, I see that combined with what I know is on the trip odometer (due for a fuel stop late tomorrow or the day after) I've packed 19,000 miles on this car in one year. I hadn't realized I racked them up that fast.

I realize that probably isn't a big number for some of you guys, but for the longest time I thought I was going through about 12,000 miles per year. I never really stopped to think about it.

Nice, I travel about 35-40k miles a year. In the first 2 weeks I had my Corolla I put over 1.5k miles on her :P

You guys made me curious to figure my miles accrued for a one-year period going back from today; 3,046 in the car + 1,603 in the pickup = 4,649. Car sat through the winter- didn't want to expose it to road salt. It's the dang 700 mile and 1,100 round-trips that really contribute. Obviously not much local at all- bicycling FTW!

P.S. I need to put an odometer on the bicycle now.
