Those years are also the best deals out there. I have seen very nice cars just with high mileage for under $10,000 even one for $7000. This was before the new Corvette was introduced which should drop all the previous, non-collectible (yet) vettes another notch.

Great video. But at 22:14-20 he reveals he does not know the 1990s-00s history of OEM lean burn in the USA. Is it true that lean burn has been directly banned in the USA now? Or is it just that doing so would require modifying OEM equipment, which is not legal?

It's not banned by name, but it creates NOx levels far above allowed by current EPA regulations.

Unless you add a second catalyst for NOx. Nobody wants to for price reasons, of course.

I could be wrong, but Afaik, you need a DEF/ad blue assisted catalyst for nox.

The manual Gen1 Insight was rated Ultra-Low Emissions. Then they changed the standards and no longer qualified.
