Snow, plowing through it takes a fair bit of extra power.
It is hard to resist fishtailing when safe on icy roads.
Getting stuck in the driveway, and using lots of throttle and rocking to get it out.
If I shower in the morning instead of at night the extra moisture fogs the windows and I stop to idle a moment so the defrost will get a bit of heat to clear it.
My rear bumper is cracked and broken, extra drag their I think, though my commute average speed is about 35-40mph so not much of an aero hit.
I like to use the heater in the winter so not as much gliding.
Letting my self get into a hurry, I don't get their much quicker but I burn a lot of extra gas doing it.

Yep, have to use them to get out of the neigherhood from time to time, I cover the MPguino cause I don't want to look. Then find it easy to get into a "why bother" mentality

I floor it from time to time for a bit of fun. I know I shouldn't, but I can't resist sometimes.

Buying a car that burns oil. Every 100 miles requires about 2.5 oz. engine oil, or 2/3 qt per 1000 miles. I'm just doing the best I can on that issue.

Automatic-slushbox, 2.5L DOHC subaru engine that makes 110hp/110 torque at 2,000 rpm (more than most ecomodders at peak). Fat car @ 3500 lbs and fat driver at 245lbs. Stupid AWD with a traction crippling and horrid ABS system, and non-LSD differentials.
Besides my size, Subaru Engineering is the captain of the fail boat.

A brick shaped, solid axle, auto tranny, large V8 powered Jeep. I try my best short of P&G / EOC, but it can only do so much, particularly around town.
Plus, I can't resist pounding on the throttle occasionally, as the 245hp@4k, 345tq@3200 makes it a lot of fun, particularly when merging.

I bought my 2.0L gas Jetta in 2002. The MK3s weren't that old, and the diesels had relatively low mileage and expense. I should I gotten one, as now, they are 9 years older, have 200k more miles and are no cheaper to buy. However, I was 19 and living at home. "You don't want a diesel, they're smelly, noisy, black, sooty, and you can only fill up on the highway." I didn't know any better. I should have done my research. However, I did score a spotless 4-year old car with 32,000 miles and a year of factory warranty left. Still should have gotten a TDI had I know then how concerned with fuel economy I would be now.
