Torque doesn't recognize DFCO either. Doing DFCO in second gear just before a stoplight shows instand readout of 20-30 MPG lol.
Maybe I should've bought a UG. Kinda late now that tomorrow is my last day driving Silver Aero for 3 1/2 months.

I FRIGGIN DID IT! Just barely but got a tank over 50mpg! Just got LCAs replaced today, alignment is still whacked but it drives better than before, and coasts better even with the front tires toed way out (1/4”)...

Nice! I've had two of my last three tanks at 49.5x, so close I can almost taste it. So neat to see something GM really able to get good numbers even when hampered by mechanical issues.
FWIW, my UG doesn't seem to recognize my Civic's DFCO. I'm not really going to mess with it much given that I don't know how well the ol' girl's OBD port bus communicates with the UG (it updates slowly, I know that), and my UG is itself showing its age.

You can change the update speed on the UG and you can calibrate it to recognize DFCO (called inj cutoff in UG menu)... I can’t remember exactly what number you’re supposed to input but you can find the UG user manual online...
And thanks! I’d wager that 90% of my success is due to driving style, with the cars base potential being the rest... I haven’t got any over the top eco-mods done...

Both are done, it updated like gangbusters on newer cars, faster in fact than the screen can legibly show. It's just slow on older OBDII interfaces, even if I choose a screen with fewer PIDs. My Echo was the same as far as the lack of comm speed. DFCO detect is on, it just doesn't pick it up. So I shrug and move on.

That’s weird that it’s slower due to what vehicle it’s attached to, but it’s been a while since I had it connected to anything that wasn’t CANbus...

I've found it's fairly typical for older vehicles. Some of them can be sped up by running fewer data pids on the screen at the same time, but I guess my Civic is just naturally slow since that doesn't have any effect at all. It is what it is

So, guys, since I *did* get a 50mpg tank, I *did* meet my summer 2018 FE goal... which means I get to set a new, loftier goal...
Next, I wanna achieve a 90 day average of 100% over EPA, or 52mpg...
Hoping that I can get there on aero mods alone, since there are quite a few left to do (I haven’t even got tire spats lol), what do you think? Yay or nay?
