550 mile tank
Just had my longest tank ever today; haven't filled up but I'm maxed out and have 549 miles (ok, well not exactly 550... )
Next goal: 575. Hopefully my power steering delete plus warm weather get me there. I'm about tapped on mods at this point due to time constraints on the other ones I'd like to do.

Very cool -- thinking of your fuel economy efforts on these terms really helps, I think. My best tank was ~569 miles on ~11 gallons, and when I tell someone about this, it is immediately obvious how practical it is.

Congratulations. My best in my xB was 552 miles on ~10.6 or 10.8 gal. I'm currently on pace for a possible record-breaking or tying tank.

Wow Neil and Sentra... you guys are giving me ambition for that next goal - your bests are way better than mine!!!
Thanks for the feedback and support. I agree Neil. The MPGs speak well enough for most of us but sometimes when my coworkers ask if my car actually does well I tell them I get 500 miles on 12 gallons and their jaws drop. I understand completely; my Mustang had a max tank of 320 miles on 15.5 gallons.

Gascort,
You're doing great with your Escort's larger engine. We're running Toyota's 1.5 liter 1NZ-FE engine, which should get better mpg.
I looked it up, and I drove my 552 miles on 10.68 gal.

That is a good point. Also 2006 vs 1993 technology haha. Now I feel better - still want to catch up to your awesome numbers!

I came up short on my current tank. The low fuel light came on at 470 miles. I tanked up at 511 miles with 10.6 gal = 48 mpg.
