67 mpg in my crx

I was joking.
The reason my road trip MPG is lower than my commuting MPG is due to the 70-75 MPH freeway speeds.
My commuting MPG was all done with route selection and "adjusting the nut behind the steering wheel". No one is tampering with my car.

I don't mind other people adding gas to my gas tank because it means that they are using my car instead of a vehicle that gets 12-20mpg and my mileage tends to be pretty consistent, so I win by not having to go to the gas station as soon and they win by not using as much fuel.
I sometimes do the reverse figuring, because I know pretty well what kind of mileage I get, I'll check and see how much gas someone put in.

Bummer. It still would be a pretty funny practical joke on a hypermiler: adding a little fuel here and there and watching them become amazed at their "FE."

I've heard "anecdotal evidence" of it happening. Even here on ecomodder.com regarding a VW Beetle....
That would be the ULTIMATE joke on an ecomodder... especially one who brags about his fuel economy to his co-workers as much as I do. I had to achieve my MPG on my own.
