Set a new Record in it today at MSR Houston.

64 Miles on an Basically an entire tank (15.4 Gallon fill).
4.1 MPG

I did Learn a HECK of a lot on that Fuel though.
1) I Turn in WAY early.
2) I slow down way 2 much (early turn in).
3) I'm rusty as can be.
4) Turning in "just a little" on a down hill will spin you 360; and kill your confidence for the rest of the day.
5) No matter where you are Fuel economy is appreciated. Talking Fuel Economy at a road corse takes you in to endurance racing conversation.
6) WOW That was FUN

Yes the Golf is here also; I just had to fill it up with Petrol Diesel 53.1 MPG Loaded with Tools, Wheels, etc.

Hmm, am guessin here that TT = twin turbo... sounds like a prime canidate for pulse and glide technique!! Enjoy the fun, those Supras were heavy, but still fun to drive.

TT= Twin turbo which is actually a bit of a mis-nomer.
The 2 Turbos are the same size, but from the factory work in Sequential, this one now operates in "True twin Mode" so now they are both always on line; Increases lag, but also increases power and reliability.

For a minute there I thought you may have known me. We hit the wall last year at TWS doing just over 100. $6000 later the car is in much better shape than it was to start with.

I fully admit it is Adolescent/ Dumb/ short sighted to drive in such manners.
As far as "Safe" Not much is safe at those speeds; but I can guarantee that the road was closed off at both ends.

The car spends more time on course than on road. Thursday was just the first day that we burnt an entire tank on course.

To tell the truth I prefer MKIII's.
I Still own 2 of them. Drove them almost exclusively from 1999-2008 when I got the Golf.
They are much better put together, are not nearly as overvalued as the MKIV, have nearly as many performance options, and most importantly I have a lot more parts laying around for them.

Honestly the best thing about the MKIV is that you can sell them for more money than you have in them (try that in a MKIII).

But I do love the MKIV's . . ..
