so 80s I feel like it needs some dope vinyl GFX

yeah ive been hitting one in a junkyard with PB blaster on a S-10.

4 speed auto with TC lockup should do nicely.

I ordered the repair manual for this car so I can figure out the wiring for all that

Sounds like a rear wheel drive peg in a front wheel drive hole.
A 4L60 is a very different animal from a 4T60, L = longitudinal, T = transverse.
