I think it is the original it's a cheap stamped steel piece the new one is cast aluminum and seems much higher quality. I'm sure ceramic alternator bearings make such a small difference it could never be measured and they'll never pay for themselves but I've always wanted to use ceramic bearing and it could only help economy

maybe you could pick up a cs130 at the junk yard and rebuild it. Does the sc2 have smaller pulleys, I think the power steering ones smaller.

If the regulator fits the 121 I'll just rebuild it if not I'll be looking for a 130. I'm replacing the harmonic balancer and got a shorter belt to get rid of the ac and ps

I'm not sure if the sc2 has smaller pulleys or not but I would love to underdrive the water pump

I've had the saturn back up and running for about two weeks now and after having replaced the water pump , alternator, deleting the a/c & p/s along with a bad idler pulley I had my best tank yet of 43.02 mpgs. I also found out that my struts are bad so I ordered a set of kyb's and h&r lowering springs those will go on next week then a huge air dam made out of race plastic
I also got a set of Cree led headlights which are super bright but still very little range
