Once you figure this out, I got a few exotic cars you can hunt down.

I really don't think that car is abandoned. If it was abandoned by somebody it's because they still had payments which means a bank or repo company owns it and just doesn't know where it is. I'm sure they will be happy with you for finding it for them. Maybe they will take a low ball salvage offer for it.

I doubt so- who would finance a vehicle that old, and rebuilt twice? If they could raise the legal interest rate max, maybe... Unless the local Much Ca$h Nowz down the street financed it through cash advances at 300% lol

If you don't make a "reasonable" attempt to contact the owner and move the car without consent of the property owner where it is located or the last person who held title to the car, you could be in a bad legal situation.
In the stricktest legal definition, without notification, HOW WOULD YOU REACT to your car disappearing.
With the accident and repair history on the car you could run into serious problems trying to get it roadworthy.
I guess I am not that great a fan of Subarus.

Who owns the property where the car sits??
At a bare minimum I would find out who holds the current title. Without their permission, this could turn out bad for you, legal or not legal. Somebody in the thread offered to hunt that down for you.
Good luck!

Sonic yellow color gives the car value all by itself. I'd want to know why it got totaled twice though, before I went heavy on investing in getting it running. Good luck!

Totalled twice is not a problem IF every system was properly repaired. The nightmare scenario is when it's cobbled together with little regard or understanding of system functionality, or structural integrity, and now you get to diagnoise several multi-hour to multi-day nightmares.
Removed without property owner or vehicle owner permission equals.
Grand theft auto and you have no defense.
I read about a 62 Vette stolen from a used car lot, totally restored, sold at auction for $52k, before it's history was discovered and it was returned to the last legal owner. The used car lot owner who had it on his lot for $2500, 30 years earlier.
No need to slam me for my opinion, backed by personal experience but only in Va and NC but facing those FACTS, I would not even dream or removing it without written consent, preferrably from the previous owner, unless they are dead, without heirs.

My credit union would finance that car easily for me, it would be probably 5-7% and 36 months and they would go up to NADA retail with no money down. The rebuilt title doesn't matter.
Now since it hasn't been tagged in two years it would have been worth even more back then and even easier for somebody to have been making payments. Even as a parts car that things would bring and easy couple thousand on a Craig's list ad in a matter of hours, nobody just walks away from that unless they owe more then that to a bank.

I highly doubt that. An 8 year old twice rebuilt car? Don't invest more than 250k with them, because if they are taking loans like that, they won't be around long.
