Mpguino built, registering VSS when the wire is not hooked to anything - Fuel Economy, Hypermiling, EcoModding News and Forum

I just built my mpguino and it looks like it is working but it is registering VSS and I think the Injector signal when their respective wires arent hooked to anything. Anybody have any suggestions, I have no experience with this stuff. Thanks

I just cut the 2 sensor wires shorter and now its not doing it anymore. Was it just radio interference or something?

Maybe, the MPGuino is highly sensitive. Touching the ends of the wires on mine causes it to read something.

Make sure your resistor is very close to the MPGuino-end of your wire.

EDIT: In answer to your question in the other thread, I have the diodes and resistors soldered to wires within an inch of the board.
