Why would I put an air scoop? That seems counterintuitive.

It was a weird election cycle; no yard signs or bumper stickers.
The air scoop suggestion was to 'explain' the contour shift. Small scoops are sorta expected in that location, for brake cooling.

I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I want to build a undertray, but the nearest Cloroplast supplier is over an hour away. I have a great deal of large pieces od carboard available, but i don't think it would last long under the car.
Also, have any of you used a "splitter " in your aeromods? I can't tell if they are supposed to create downforce which I don't want, or airflow smoothing which i do want?

Cardboard would be good for templates. How easy is it to get under your car? How many times do you want to do it?
I haven't made a spliter. Their purpose is to move the stagnation point (the point where air doesn't know whether to go up, down or sideways.) clear to the bottom. This keeps the air, and it's effects, to a minimum under the car. Air will then begin rolling in under the sides if there is any rake to the body.
OTOH the potential for ground strikes migrates to the very front of the car. Approach angle clearance defeats the purpose.

It is not very easy to get under, but it can be done.
I'm thinking about making two pieces: one for the engine area, and one for the rear bumper area. The rest of the car is surprisingly flat. If i made those pieces, would i then remove the air dam, or keep it?
