Lose the batteries (which do not work all that well up-north), fill the engine bay with something like the VW 1.4L TSI "Twincharger,"
Volkswagen Twincharger | Popular Science
and you have my dream car. Antenna holes can be filled and a bit of lexan will fix the fog light problem.

kit

Perhaps since the kit is "professionally"manufactured, and is offered at a "price",may psychologically validate the significance of "shape" and shape change with respect to performance. The more that people see this sort of thing, will hasten the awareness and perhaps re-thinking of how a car's shape could impact it's operation.I give 'em a big thumbs-up.Thanks for sharing that!

The 'stuck on' body kits that became extremely popular 10-15 years ago started out in the right direction, but took a wrong turn when it became all about outragous styling

Where others might see tacky-looking fiberglass and urethane body kits, I see opportunity The same talent, tooling, manufacturing process, and even distrubution network it took to bring the 'boy racer looking' body kits to market, is the same that could bring 'MPG Improving, super-slippery ecomodder' body kits to the forefront.

Can you imagine the next trend? Young adults spending hard earned money, Saturday and Sunday working making their cars more fuel efficient than the next guy? I can dream, can't I ?

Hello,

There's an earlier thread about a cleaner looking kit:

That does look like a much better kit. I looked briefly for a thread on it before starting this one. Guess I missed it.

Yea I saw it on here as well in some other thread as a show car.

It is VERY awesome looking though, just goes to show that efficiency can look VERY good!

I think some of the commenters are confusing "hypermilers" with "ecomodders".

i think they're just there to allow the taillights to be seen from the sides...

a transparent panel would be a better compromiste between aero and not haveing to replace the lights i think, but you can't tell from the pics if they're really holes or more like portholes... the first picture has a grey rectangle on the inside of the spoiler around the holes... could be just a shadow but it might just as well be a resess for a transparent panel
