I was alluding to Dyson's proprietary rebranding.
That and the disruption down one side of the truck cab.

Sorry, I just couldn't make a connection between the filter cannister and a VG, even turned inside-out. I'll let that mental subroutine keep running.

The distinction would be that:
* in the cyclone precipitator, higher-density ( than the air ) particulates are centrifuged outwards ( like pigs and cows in a tornado ) to the inner wall boundary layer of the enclosure, where gravity will ultimately carry them ( precipitate ) to the bottom for disposal.
* VGs create vortex lift along their longitudinal flow edges, as in the Space Shuttle, Concord SST delta-wings, and fixed on a boundary wall, this low edge pressure helps induce the downwash which helps the flow hug the contour. Not without some cost.

Third piece, passenger side mid section.
Behind front tire:
From the front, inside the wheel:

I had to fabricate my own brackets to attach the outside edges of the board to the underside of the steps. This really stretched my working knowledge as I've never fabricated anything metal before. I used a L bar from the hardware store, drill and tapped, used an angle grinder to cut them to size and and belt/disc sander to clean up the edges (just so there were no sharp burrs). I offset the holes so the bolts don't hit each other when installed.
