Love the aero package on the rear of the car and the belly pan. They look extremely well crafted and professional. With both front slats I'm assuming you are running with air conditioning which makes your record tanks even more impressive.

Hey Chrysler, Thanks for your positive comments. Actually, I am not running the A/C this summer. I have found that at these MPG numbers, running A/C would cost me almost 10 MPG. This summer I have been doing extreme hypermiling to see the best this car and my current skills can take us while the weather is the best.

Well you may as well remove the windows from the doors then to save some weight it's got to be hot in there! Lol
Are you using anything to direct airflow into the vehicle or are you sweating it out? Would removing the rear window glass from the hatch improve ventilation or just disrupt airflow

What works the best for me is to use the HVAT fan in the car to bring in fresh air and blow it hard on my chest and head with a "tornado" fan I got at a Pilot Truck Stop for $25. I also bought a beaded seat cover from Amazon.
I am still sweating a lot, but so far I have been able to tolerate it in order to explore the outer limits of the Ecomodder experience

Would you be able to make a tour with photos such as the one above and diagraming with arrows indicating what each of the fancy and not so fancy gadgets, switches, do-dads, etc are and what they do?
That would be a truly appreciated read for me--mostly a lurker with hopes of someday becoming an ecomodder of vehicles beyond adjustments to the nut behind the wheel.
cheers,
Benphyr

Hardcore, showing up to work sweaty in the morning is too much for me.
One of those knobs must dispense Coors light, and the crate next to it must be filled with ice

You are right Kid, but I am retired and I show up at a shop in a metal building without A/C 3 or 4 days a week just because I think it is a lot of FUN to get these old cars to get double the MPG of newer "sophisticated" cars.
But let's get real, how many people would be willing to actually sweat to get an extra 10 MPG?

Thanks for your encouraging words. I'm not sure I have the technical and digital skills to make what you asked for happen, but I will think about it and consult my son (ecoTex) to see what we can come up with.
I am very fortunate to have the time and health to do things I really enjoy. I also like to share with anyone who may find it helpful.

You, like Old Mechanic were part of an age where you looked to how you wanted to spend your future, not the present. And for that, you get rewarded. Far to many young people only think about the here and now, and not how they will live when they get older.
