This was the Hot Air Intake before this new modification. I have modified it 3 different times so far.

I modified this Hot Air Intake in the photo from Cold Air Intake modification.
I like the idea of straight up off the intake on the new modification. I don't know if I will get more MPG off it as set up or if I will get more completely covered with only hot air from the engine. I think from less restriction I should get some gains. What are your constructive thoughts or suggestions to get more out of the Intake?

Measure the mpg effects of the extra drag from the bowl, then route the filter up there and measure again? (then undo the mods and measure again, then redo the mods and measure again)

Oh - something you obviously haven't accounted for - vacuum will take air from the area that resists it the least.

In this case, you're still getting the warmest air that the filter has access to, since heat rises (and will actually vent through your hood now, due to the venturi effect that the bowl half is going to create). So you've basically created a "harder than it had to be" WAI.

You can't say that you've actually experimented with CAI/WAI because you haven't. You don't have data sets, you weren't even attempting to control the IAT's, let alone monitor them. Until you've done those things, this is just a joke.

Why not spend all this time on making a few bucks helping someone out so that you can go get a SG-2 and actually test your modifications?

You've also added approx .5 SqFt, by the looks of it, protruding into a normally smooth area. Yeah, you just screwed up your aero.

If he's a real person and not just a construct of Steve D. Gage or Sterling D. Allen or ? at Pure Energy Systems, he's been credited with:

Enter Louis LaPoint, author of the acetone story we published last month. He has been studying the effects of acetone in fuel for around 50 years, and has done extensive studies, including of the effect on lubrication in the engine.
Someone with around 50 years of extensive study in this area should know what's what, right?

Looks like a ricer's mod. if you ask me (who needs to pay $500 for a real hood w/ hood scoop when you can just cut some holes and put half a bowl on your hood)

First it was the copper pipe injector heater now this. I don't want to say that all your ideas are bad ideas but all your ideas are bad ideas.
