Me three!

Darin's out working on the kammback, but Chip is testing some stuff out to try to narrow down the source of the infection.

Glad to help. I like to be able to see things through - no "report-and-run"s on issues from me (I work in tech support and that's the most annoying thing when a customer opens a ticket and then you never hear from them again).

Keep us posted!

I was entering from a bookmark to the main forum page both times I saw the pop-up.

Didn't get it today.

It should be solved now, so do let us know if you see more issues (which I don't think will happen).

Hi Everyone, I got here by researching this issue on Google. Over the past 4 months one of my clients who runs a comic book site has also experienced the same redirect problems you guys are experiencing. The difference is his site has no ads. I have checked his index.php page several times after these attacks have occurred, and I cannot find any evidence of any javascript embedded in the page. The attacks are episodic, or very random. Another site I found suggests that the hacker could have embedded the javascript code in the .htaccess file. My server guy says we have no .htaccess file. Just to be on the safe side, I ran a virus scanner today on my own personal computer and found an infection of the Zlob Trojan. From what I've read this trojan can be involved in the popups to AntiVirus 2009. I've not had this problem occur on any other site I've visited. At any rate, I can't be so sure that the two are related. When I was redirected to the AntiVirus 2009 site the other day I didn't use their scanner. It still puzzles me how I picked up the trojan without my Norton detecting it. Another site I found suggests it was loaded through a video codec. I would suggest all you guys who've had the AntiVirus redirect, scan your computers to see if somehow the Trojan.Zlob infected your personal computer. Regarding the redirection on the web site, I'd be interested in knowing if you specifically find out how this is occurring. Thanks

There's another way to tell if your machine is infected, if it boots up and says "windows" then you should get help right away

(I use windows so I can say that )
