There are quite a few news articles that have agendas and so the reader is not being presented with untainted facts.

I really can't detect an fe difference in ethanol blends up to about 50/50; stronger than that up to straight E85 does result in fe drop.

Pretty interesting, do you have any more info on your testing you could link to? perhaps another post? Did you find non ethanol petrol to test with? Seems like it is hard to come across, or maybe your the gas station wasn't honest about the added Ethanol and skewed your test? Don't take that the wrong way just playing devil's advocate.

Have you trying changing your compression ratios of your motor at all to take advantage of that E85? I know a few guys that like that E85 in their high horsepower turbo cars, use it as cheap race gas.

Mn has had "gasohol" for decades. I can't see a significant fe difference from E10 to about E50. It's kind of a moot point anyway what with E0 being either scarcely available at all, or available at a great cost premium.

hey 95camwagon. don't know if you still own that beast, but my 90camwag is scuttling around 30mpg right now combined... prob because of my poor activity planning and freeway driving speeds... think i'll be getting +1~2mpg from now on with slower speed.
