It would be quite a drive from Texas. But you should make it into a vacation over the weekend. The fingerlakes region is really beautiful if you enjoy the outdoors, fishing, or wine. There are a few great parks to go to. Lots of hiking and other activities.

1,950 miles if you ask me, MINIMUM!
There are a lot of great spots to visit on the way up there. Lots of places to stop and re-fresh with local food and drink, sort of where Mac Davies would have sung "Stop and smell the roses"(or something like that... :-~)

Good thing that there is somewhat a year to go before this upcoming gathering, I like gatherings where I can learn of and enjoy seeing others "toys"

Of course, maybe like this..., would be my pace there and like this on the return...
The later(return), would be with more class though

I like good MICRO beer-
I like good homey type of cheese(NOT cheeses, come on people...!)-
I like seeing the fuel(diesel), MPG be ABOVE 55, maybe 60? That would be
