There is a stock (unmodified) category for a reason. And it's perfect for those who know how to hypermile.

If anyone is interested, here is the recipe to win the most fuel efficient car award: Step 1, "test drive" a Hyundai Ionic ev. Step 2 "test drive" at the 2018 GGP. Step 3 ???. Step 4, profit!

Yes - cold weather during the weeks leading up to the GGP is always an issue. This year, even more so. I think there was some Global Cooling in effect.

The season discourages new mods from getting completed, but it lets you get the full effect of last season's combined mods. Of course school teams and GGP competitors with deep pockets aren't limited by the cold - but that didn't stop EcoModders from taking home FIVE awards this year!

It would be great if you could join us next year, Darin. Tell your selected vehicle that it's a "Come as you are" event.

Nothing I own qualifies as unmodified either.

Track time is at a premium especially here where the non snow chain season is April to November.

We could have a snowstorm economy run.
No, I don't think I want to do that.
