Audi A8 1.2 E-TDI luxury fuel sipper

New personal record for the A8. 637 km and 25 liters gives -->3,92 l/100km which is 60 MPG us.

This tank was
80% at 100 km/h speed
15% at 90 km/h
and 5% in the city
cars onboard computers avg speed was 88km/h.

Next efficiency tank target is under 3.5 liters propably during next weekend.
To reach that I need to build smooth underside and get the ecu tuned for this car.

Holy frijoles. That points to a possible 25+++ km/l on the highway... maybe 30?

I wager that 3L tank is simply a looooong and flaaaaat highway drive away.

Smooth underside mk1 is almost ready. Tomorrow will get new ecu remap to this car so next efficiency tank will be under 3.5 liters if calculations are correct.

I dont need long and flat road to reach that 3 liter fuel consumption target. It should be a peace of cake actually. 2.75 l/100km is a harder goal but even that is possible at 100 km/h speed, why I know? because my calculations say so.

Vekke: Just checked your A8 fuel logs at the Garage site of Ecomodder.com.

What is up with the 25.00 liter tank fills? I'm just wondering why you are not filling the tank 100%.

Tank is leaking at full tank and zips air before half tank. Havent had time to fix it yet so I cannot use anymore fuel at the moment even there is still 50+ liters on the tank when it sucks air. Both of those are typical a8 d2 faults.

I have now driven about 15000 km with the audi and it seems to work pretty well. Average fuel consumption has been 5.3 liters with my high average speeds. Today made some new calculation estimations for next summer. Aerodynamic & rolling resistance, power & MPG calculator - EcoModder.com

Some new parts like 3 d printed mirrors are being done.
Today got 7% taller gearbox in.
155/70R19 wheels are bought.

Summer is coming and my new 155/70R19 RIAL X10 5,0x19 ET43 wheels are going to be sweet setup. I am hoping a 10% improvement in fuel consumption with these (compared to my last summer tires) when I get them installed hopefully later this week if weather warms up. Many more parts are also in the works so new fuel consumption records will be made soon.
