Yeah.....they have to have NEW style, repairs must cost more than the car, and a simple repair requires the removal of the engine, transmission, exhaust, AND gas tank!!!???

Come on, it is all about money, and that is all. Everybody wants to be filthy rich and be in absolute power. We need to stop buying new cars every dang year. People have been taught that they need the newest thing. I can't sell any of the things I make because they are not new, weird, and useless.

There's my rant.

I'm glad we have so much flagrant wasteful consumerism. I can live like a king off the trash of the land!

If it weren't for utility bills and taxes I could probably get by quite well with no money at all.

People are not logical, and cars are not practical, as a rule. Cars project status and image, with only incidental functionality. Business is designed to maximize a market, not deliver a service at minimum cost. Frank has it right - parts and depreciation run about $200. per year for a low-status, but perfectly reliable, fairly economical, and comfortable ride.
