Auxiliary AC fan, with or without

Thinking about removing aux fan in front of radiator which operates when AC is on, works using temp sensor which means if temp is cold the fan stops spinning. When I drive the car with AC is off the fan basically inhibits air flowing into radiator. This might help avoiding drain up the battery as it reduces electric consumption and at some extent helps mpg. When I need the AC it runs without the aux fan, wouldn't this do any harm to the compressor and AC system?.

Thanks

Answered yesterday when the car was parking at open hot area, for more than a week of use when the car is moving it works fine although the temp goes a bit high with AC on. It needed AC on to cool down cabin after the long park, while engine hasn't reached temp yet to spin the fan. After a couple minutes some noises came, supposedly from compressor belt which was unable to spin correctly following the engine due to high pressure without fans dissipating the heat. I will put the aux fan back on.

Thanks
