I don't think that it's dead yet as an electric revival but that's a pretty reasonable suggestion. The ICE powered 'i' shares the gas powered engine with the Smart 4-2 so there might be some interchange possible with the Diesel.

At the time, it was a bizzare revelation. I always looked up to my father as an impressive person with skills and smarts to do his work. For a moment, it felt as though he had just revealed to me that he had been "wingin' it" for his whole career!

I'd rather prefer it that way, than people not adhering to written procedures anyway AND not using their brain(s) while doing so.

Both links go to the same video?
How noisy was it. The Insights blower sounds like a 747 passing over head when it kicks into high gear and the prius 3/crz sounds like a leaf blower.

The one link goes to my blog, which has the video on it, the other goes to YouTube, where the video is hosted. There's often a little different info on both, so I put both up.
The fan isn't noisy at all...... because it didn't work!

Is that better than a loud broken fan?

Hmmm.
That rear-ended white iMiev is interesting.
In the photo of the back-seat, the seat looks fine. Which is only important because several of the computers (which don't work on mine) are under there.
I don't see any reason to think that the battery pack wouldn't work.
The battery pack is really solidly INSIDE the frame and very low center of gravity. I'd LOVE to have a photo from below of the crashed car. Maybe I can look under mine and by comparing see if damage would intrude on the battery or not.

Too bad copart auctions are all in such crappy locations, I wonder if anyone lives near this paticular one and could take a look at the thing.
Reason I said the battery may not work as the dash wasn't lit any of the salvage auctions if the dash doesn't light its usually best to avoid since diagnosis and repair is so hard on these.
Cheers
Ryan
