Great minds think alike. Here is a post with a LOT of axle codes that might help you in your search. Also you might try a site such as searchtempest.com that makes multi-locational craigslist searches easier. Good luck!

p.s. In the future I would go to the IDI section of those forums first rather than the truck year. Possibly confirmation bias but, from my experience the IDI guys overall seem to have a much more in depth knowledge of their rigs.

30 MPG is incredible for that machine.....I need to really delve into this thread. Is your belly pan made from corrugated plastic sheet?

( BTW- if this hasn't been covered already, an M5R2 would bolt to that motor ( I couldn't tell if it was a 5.0 or a 351 but would either way). It has something like a .7:1 OD and a REALLY steep first gear ( like 3.5:1))
