which is better? top or bottom grill block w/ pics (installed)

hello everyone... im new on here ...did a search , but i didnt find a topic on this...or maybe i didnt word it right? ...but i been thinking of re-blocking one of the grills on my 2003 rolla S type...i had a metal pref grill on the bottom ...i noticed my highway speed was quicker with it on...but i took it off cuz it got bent..i went through a flooded street kinda fast and it bent the hell out of the bottom grill ..but i wanted to see if the upper grill block would benefit me more or stick to the bottom? i plan to use coroplast/corrugated plastic this time...i know doing both will do wonders ..but i rather stick to one..

I blocked the top grill on the Infiniti Q45.

I blocked the lower gill on the Kia Sportage

Both were a personal choice based purely on looks

Short answer: Top is usually better.

oh ok...wasnt sure if there was a difference in air resistance ..between top and bottom

ahhh . ok .. but there is a large gap between the bumper cover...and the radiator/support...so i figured it was better going that route..i just needed to be sure .cuz im guessing once air enters the bottom grill ....it ends up going through the bottom of the car creating lift..but i can block the top and do some kind of belly pan between the bumper & rad support

Well, I gues I should elaborate....
I had put a body kit on the Q and didnt want to clse the bottom scoop.
On the Sportage, I was able to put a large vynl piece over the lower opening and it fit perfectly and astheticlly.






the top grill (second pic) is a partial block
