Yeah I mean 1 gear in the front 8 in the back. So it is an 8 speed instead of a 24 speed (which is overkill 95% of the time).

When I get the bike back from the shop putting it together I'll post up the real pics. But this is my new baby full VF aero frame and if the wheather will warm up above 5C I can break her in. All I know with regards to weight is that I can lift it with 1 finger.

These are "in progress" photos last month of my trike- best shots of the hub motor. Now that the body is removed you cannot hide the motor. That photo of the body was for a Craigslist ad - I got NO offers! The trike is complete now.

Thanks- it was way overbuilt for the wieght so now it is a whole different trike. Gears are still very high! I put side supports on the seat so I don't fall out and put Primo tires on today- it had to have fatter Kendas on it before because it was so heavy. Speed is way down without the aerodynamic body- but that is a lot safer now.

Great pictures.

I saw this one of a kind Dual Drive recumbent in Canada. Custom built by the owner/rider.

Amazing engineering!

That looks a whole lot like a motorcycle to me!
And, it has the 'modern' Crank-Forward bicycle setup..
I would have loved one of those for riding to school, when I was a kid..

If that was in Eastern MA, you would have be ready to Eject,
when that sleepy (or DYI) Snow Plow driver came zooming up behind you!

Just leaving it all behind!!

Crank-Forward bikes?

Forge Comfort Bike Vero LS - Quality and Affortable Comfort and Fitness Bicycle

I'm a few pounds lighter now. But, I'm still going to get a bigger bike..

Been looking at Crank-Forward bikes, like the Trek Pure Sport..
Anyone here tried one of those?
