Pretty cool ,Chalupa. That Cat Trail looks like quite a bargain. Does that little fairing help much for keeping your feet warm?

That Catrike frame looks very much like my Cat Pocket. It has that extra curve to the back wheel like mine. My Cat has 3 - 16 inch wheels. Pretty low, but a person can see it easily. Lookin' good!

Here's my (ex) collection. The two Cervelo's I no longer own, unfortunately. All 3 were built by myself; the Cervelo's were full Dura Ace and an absolute dream to ride. I managed by best ever 10 mile on the yellow P3.

The Guess mountain bike is a mix of X9 and X0 with Hope 205mm rotors. I still ride this but it's been put away for winter. I've also changed the wheels to Mavic 717s and the tyres to lower profile slicks. I've also changed the pedals to RX1s and the seat post to titanium as the CF post was too flexi at that height (it's a bit higher now).

In all, there is nearly £15k worth of bike kit here. The P2 was sold to a local club rider and the P3 to a (very) wealthy chap who exported it to Saudi for some desert riding. I'll post an updated pic of the Guess when it bring it out of hibernation next month.

I'm just starting this whole "winter biking thing".

I have an old steel men's standard with 26" rims.

The few times I have been out so far, it has been face-numbingly cold. That's when I realized my motorcycle helmet has a flip up/down face-shield on it..

Yep, I wore my motorcycle helmet out biking today. The worst problem was part of the road that was snowed under from continual drifting...

The bike has skinny rims with slicks - not so good in snow. However, look what I found at the thrift store today!

My master plan is to skip the steps of buying fancy/expensive bikes, and go straight to building a recumbent, which can also become electric assist or fully faired.

I really like Arcosine's setup. Looks like he's not terribly far away from me either. Maybe we could meet up sometime.

Christopher,
what kind if electric drive setup are you using? At some point I would like to fit a motor to my son's trike. Right now I'm trying learn some more about it.

Lots of `bents and quite a few build-yer-own specimens here .
Here`s mine- my first `bent and my first build. I only use it as a toy, though- don`t yet have a way to carry anything on it and my lights won`t work on it, so it`s only good for carrying me and only in daylight. I built it last year, number two (20/20 LWB for my wife) is just finishing the drawing board stage.

It is an Electric Sierra hub motor. It is a very silent motor. When it was hidden in the Pod full fairing, I stunned a lot of people. Now that it is wide open now I cannot be "stealthy".
