Well again we are NOT talking Mk4, but Mk3/Mk2 there is no "wings" on the Mk3 design, as you can see if you click on the link I posted above and quoted here:

OK thanks, btw FYI it is always "0" (zero) and not "O" when it comes to VAG part numbers no big deal except for when someone wants to copy and paste them

Yeah it seems to be very similar, I wonder what's dif on the 1L0 vs. 1H0 (VW version): Auto Parts Seat - parts catalogue. Auto Parts for Seat

BTW It would appear that the "-235A" is the one used on 1Z hence TDI.

Do you have any info as to why they'd use the Seat one instead of the VW version? It is true that early Seat models were closely related to the Mk1 Jetta but the Toledo you mention would be Mk3 related, so I wonder why someone started using it instead of the Golf/Vento version? Do you have a thread for this discussion? Just because a Seat cover I'd have to import whereas a mk3 I could find locally.

I finally ordered an oil extractor (got tired of oil here/there all the time ) so I wouldn't even mind closing it up completely

For this particular purpose I want it I'd be even willing to go for this completely closed one!

That's the very one I'm using, part number as detailed above.

It has been a very successful mod, reducing engine and wind noise, keeping belts dry in wet weather, and keeping the engine bay clean. Air flow in the engine bay has improved as now controlled; entering through lower bumper and grille, out behind the subframe. I'm using slimline electric fans on the rads, with can be controlled via switch on dash when in traffic or cooling down after a blast; my 250hp engine generates a lot of heat!

When you say very one I assume you're talking about the last one I posted?
I thought your would have an opening as you mentioned you have a service opening?

no service access, so have secured it using wingnuts for easy removal, should emergency roadside repairs be needed (thankfully they haven't, so far).

I am looking to fill the space between the front spoiler and the undertray, probably with a plywood splitter (pun intended as it's pretty low!).

Regards, Grant
