I'm glad you're reconsidering the cameras, because I'd like to see it done and yes, that de-mirrored Mk3 there is just so nice looking. Do it.

Another angle of the same car, aside from the wheels and maybe door handles (too much work! ) the 4 door and smooth bumper and no mirrors is about the look I am going for right now (and I haven't even started yet )

Hmmm, interesting. Does this affect emissions - I suspect not but wondered if there is more to it ? Do you have pics, or a thread ?

VW muffler delete for better aero

I left the catalytic converter in place so this does not affect emissions. I cannot guarantee that everyone, everywhere will pass a test but what comes out the pipe is the same as before and a person should be able to make it look pretty stock.

It is a salvaged political sign- 4'x8'. I keep meaning to start a thread but I do have the photos uploaded in my albums. If you click on COcyclist above my avatar it should take you to my page and the albums are down on the right. I have one marked "belly pan". I hope this helps. I found you on tdiclub the other day before the server went down. I will be following you there as well.

I dont plan on posting much here (or/and if I might in regards to BODY mods, not such a popular topic on TDIclub )

Yeah I (tdiclub forums) lost 1-1.5 pgs on there but fortunately I have most replies in emails...

Interesting hot rod, but not very aero. Taking 12" out of the roof and laying the windshield back helps reduce frontal area but I would bet that a similar truck with the roof chop, grill block, air dam and a tonneau on an otherwise stock body would beat him hands down at highway speed. Perhaps he does mostly city driving where the weight reduction is more important than good aerodynamics. It would be cool to see a what a chopped VW diesel truck with the full aero treatment (like Phil's) and proper gearing could do for highway mpg.
