What I'm saying is that Tesla didn't deliver vehicles in the order in which they were reserved, but instead by those who wanted the most expensive version of the vehicles first. Maybe the deposit got your very expensive top trim version of the car a day sooner than others after having waited 2 years with the deposit having been paid.

Those that wanted the $35k version had a 2 week wait or less once it was made available, deposit or not. Order one now and you can get it in less than 2 weeks, made to order.

To be fair the 15 hours of paint is probably 14 hours drying. I doubt the Toyota numbers count the paint process at all but are talking about assembling which is done after paint. The paint process is automated in a line but materials have to be expensive.

" Basically, the body is washed, degreased, electrodipped in zinc phosphate, oven baked, sanded, sealed, dried, cleaned (with chemicals), primered, baked, painted, baked, clear coated, baked and then inspected for faults (which are repaired). some new aero numbers for Cybertruck

I rifled trough my archive,worked on an 11" by 17" rendering of the Cybertruck,and did some questimating based on some published values compared to the Motor Trend road test of a Model S P85.
I came out with an estimated: Cd 0.281, 38.53 sq-ft frontal area,and 6,041-lbs EPA test weight.

That's more believable than the early 0.48 estimates.

While the form's efficiency is important, I've been looking at the hydrophobic transparent ALON windows. In dry climates (sand) or cold climates (hail) the savings in glass replacement becomes significant. Plus, no wipers.

Cameras in the trailing edges of the front wheel well flares.

Due to the pre-orders, they have moved around when which model will be produced...

Jack Rikard does a deep dive on aluminum oxynitirde. It was developed in 1980 around the time of the movie, and was renamed as such in 2002.

Yes, he is a very knowledgeable with lots of experience.

What I found most shocking and was totally new information was the huge difference weight makes in being injured in an accident.
