Saturday's showing
Bam,I ran your mpg number and from the old metric it suggests Cd 0.11 and change.
Your rig is most like Walter Lay's research model of 1933:
I don't think your lack of a complete stinger affects the Cd much,as you'd be into Morelli's phantom tail with the length you have.
My suspicion is that for some reason the mods are improving the BSFC and we see a higher mpg than what we'd predict from the Btu energy balance.
There are no other variables that you've introduced into the equation.
I'm gonna steal Dark Aero and high-tail it to Ogden and get it into the tunnel before you can catch me.

Got an indicated mileage of 26.8mpg at 65mph from College Station to Waco and from Waco to Denton.

Doing a quick rough calculation (truck and trailer loaded with gear) on the diffuser from the rear axle to the end of the belly pan on Dark Aero:
Length: 8'
Measurement from ground to beginning of rear axle diffuser: 6.5"
Measurement from ground to Dark Aero belly pan end 10.5"
Net difference: 4"
Diffuser angle: 2.39 degrees

Remaining length from the end of Dark Aero's belly pan to the back end is 40" with 20" before the front of the tire. I'm still working on a design to build out the wheel pant as well as an enclosure fer the open pivot area under Dark Aero.

I'd be interested in a picture with the trailer slewed over to one side or the other. I (think I) understand about the flaps over the taillights, but I'm not sure how the upper part articulates.

As I re-read yer post, Let me explain how my single wheel trailer works. The hitch is attached normally to the truck. The hitch attaches to the trailer at two points which limit the trailer from only pitching up and down. It can't jack-knife at all as the attachment points won't allow it. The single wheel does all the turning/swiveling. That was the only way I could attach air shocks on the hitch to dampen the road oscillations as the trailer is a short wheel base and has a tendency to rise up and down more frequently.
This is how the upper gap cover articulates...
