Not to be rude, but I think you guys are forgetting something: heating from solar radiation. Have any of you touched your car's hood after it's been sitting out in the Sun for awhile? It can get pretty hot. Unless you drive exclusively at night, that will reduce the cooling capacity of a "radiator hood".

You also get the same problem with a belly pan radiator, although indirectly. The Sun heats the tarmac, too. With your belly pan sitting a few inches off the ground, it's going to soak up a lot of radiated heat from the road surface.
