Oh thank you, it was a surprise. I hot it around Labor Day, she got it a few days later. She ended up in the ICU for a little over 2 weeks and things were improving for that whole time never needing a ventilator. Then the last 2 days they think she got a pulmonary embolism and they needed to intubate her but when they did her heart just went crazy and she only lasted a few more hours. Thankfully that morning for the first time in the hospital my 2 daughters and I got to go see and talk to her for 1/2 hour or so. It seemed ok, she was still strong and talked to us, but her oxygen levels were dropping and then they did the intubation and within a few hours she was gone.

Your hospital is treating a vascular condition as a respiratory condition. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7476450/

Not saying it is a wrongful death; but....

edit: You gained a daughter between #69 and #72?

They said there was more going on than covid, she got internal upper GI bleeding from all the stress and other meds they gave her, so they had to reduce blood thinners that prevent clots. I don't know the exact reason for cardiac arrest in the end but I do think they were competent and doing their best.

We had 2 daughters one is 16 and at home with me the other lives 10 miles away is 29, married, with 2 girls of her own.

I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers.

Pacifica for 2022 has dropped the lower end touring model and now turning L is the least expensive at over $46,000. Sucks because it doesn't add anything to the van I had but leather interior which I don't like in a minivan and a "360" degree camera. Which is no big deal IMO. I probably wouldn't have bought my 2021 had that been the lowest price.

Vehicle shortages are creating demand for any vehicle that's available. If they make only high margin trims, they will be sold. No reason to waste manufacturing capacity on low margin models/trims.

This, and in some countries many people either resorting to a private vehicle as a perceived "safer" measure to prevent getting the Chinese virus, and many others who look out for a new car to use as a workhorse.

In my country, there is still a balance of some more austere subcompacts and the SUVs which became an object of desire for the emerging middle-class. But maybe in order to concentrate more effort on the models with a higher margin, some lower-end ones had their cost increased substantially.
