Ok, it was a bit funny. But the fact is that watch LCD TV it's as bad as a blood joke. And this thread it's about blood (bleeding after a kid lost a tooth). So...

Right. As Heinlein said:
Quote:
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.
We all specialize, I've done it in a few fields. But I'm proficient in several, dabbled in many and read details of many more. I'm not an EMT, but somewhere in my parents' attic is a first aid merit badge that I earned many moons ago, and under my general authority as a concerned citizen, I'll use it. Always a bummer when you just stop to help and basically get deputized for the afternoon, but you've got to do what you've got to do.

I've never butchered an animal, though. Hell, I was in my 20s before I carved the turkey.

My first-aid skills are not so great, and I panic quite fast, but I can't simply pass by some accident or someone who is clearly needing medical assistence and not even taking a look when I am the first to arrive.

All that I know is that if anyone gets shot I need to yell and ask if anyone has a tampon. The crazy thing is the last time that I took CPR the instructor, who kept talking about her long years in the police, dismissed it saying "Never heard of doing that."

The kids wasd responsability of the guys who worked there. That's the point, and the guy I refer didn't gave a damn.

And I wonder if the people in hospital emergency didn't made sh...t too, like do not care to re-iplnat the tooth. After all, on Brazil everything it's a piece of garbage.
