Since I've only had the truck a little over a month, it's all winter, all cold... warm up times of around 1 minute. Gentle driving until the engine and transmission warm up.
And it's running on these heavy, non-LRR, studded tires! These things hold ice covered corners like you wouldn't believe!
As for how I drive in the winter...
Summer mileage will be better!

Update : Today, I got horrible mileage, but not because I didn't kicked ass, because of WEATHER. It was very cold this morning, around -16°C, and there was snow and a lot of wind. EBH was plugged for ~2 hours, and temp was at 35°C when starting.
I managed to do 5.8 LHK, which is the worst trip ever since I have the SG. On the returning trip, same thing... COLD weather, snow and wind, but there was a lot of traffic... still managed to do 5.7 LHK! I got 5.5 LHK but the last part of my trip (city) increased it to 5.7 LHK.

Winter = less mileage. Summer = more mileage. I like winter too but not when driving

It is quite a challenge!
Update : This morning, temp was around -23°C... My EBH was plugged for ~3 hours and c°WT only showed 20°C.... Did 12.2 LHK AVG in the first part of the trip (town). Finally, on the last part of the trip I managed to lower my LHK in town! Did 5.7 LHK AVG. Grille block seemed to be perfectly adjusted for this kind of temperatures. At operating temp c°WT was between 87°C and 91°C.
On the returning trip, temp was around -17°C and there was a little wind, but no snow, and the roads were dry. I managed to do 9.4 LHK AVG in the first part of the trip (town). This is my best in town so far. I did 4.9 LHK AVG, but the last part of trip (town) increased it to 5.3 LHK AVG. Pretty good for such conditions!
Again a very cold morning today (-27°C). Plugged the EBH for ~3 hours. c°WT showed 16°c before starting. Did the worst trip ever since I have the ScanGauge... 6.2 LHK AVG. My objective of not getting a trip under 40 MPG has failed... still hoping to get a 40+ MPG tank.
On the returning trip, did a lot better, 5.3 LHK AVG. Temp was higher (-17°C) and wind had stopped, plus I didn't needed my lights nor heat. Gas gauge now showing middle of 2/4 quarters, and I am at ~510 km. Very good results for now!
Also I received my EcoModder T-Shirt today! Very happy with it.
Update : Coldest morning so far (-30°C). Plugged the EBH for ~3 hours. c°WT showed ?? (didn't check it before starting). I had to use my lights and defroster so FE way down... Did 6.5 LHK AVG.
On the returning trip, cold weather (c°WT showed -22°C when starting), was keeping my usual ~70 Km/h speed at 16 TPS, but instead of doing 4 LHK, I was doing 5 LHK... Anyway, did 5.9 LHK AVG...
Tank data : hit 600 km and little bit before the 1/4!
Worst day ever!!! Never drive in such conditions if you can avoid to .
Update : Another cold morning (-21°C). Plugged the EBH for ~3:30 hours. c°WT showed 15°C. Had to use a little bit of heat. I did 6.4 LHK AVG...
On the returning trip, it was way better. I quit only ~2 hours after arriving, so c°WT showed 31°C when starting! This gave me the opportunity to do 10.9 LHK in town and 5.0 LHK after the highway, last part increased it from 5.0 LHK to 5.2 LHK. Don't know what I did better in town, but only +0.2 LHK is good in comparison to the +0.4 LHK I see habitually. So I really kicked ass! I think this can be explain by the fact that there was no traffic and I could P&G better.
Hit 682 km today, gas gauge is a little bit under the 1/4 mark. AVG of distance travelled in my 2 last tanks was 685 km! So I did lot better (thanks SG-II).
