Interesting - both turbocharged engines seem to be most efficient under low boost.

I would really love to see a bsfc map for the Toyota 3.4 5vz-fe

I can get a rough idea with the scangauge displaying rpm, gph, & hp - but there is considerable lag in the display which makes it hard to determine optimal acceleration and gear. It seems like it really hates to be short shifted.
