They try all of the garbage they find on eBay with a poor man's Mythbuster's second gas tank and said none of it made a difference.
Please post specific comments asking them to come here and try some real modifications with guaranteed 0.5 - 1.0% improvements!

Only useful idiots think individuals can't improve a vehicles fuel economy. A lot of people actually believe that improving fuel economy is some kind of institutional level thing. That takes the engineering department of an auto maker to do it or a team of mechanical and aero space engineering students with university level resources.
Now studying physics and engineering helps, along with several thousands of dollars worth of tools and knowing how to use them helps.

It's already been pointed out that many of those odd fuel-savings gadgets and cheap tricks are quite like a placebo, since the drivers usually start paying more attention to their driving styles after the mods.

Whatever the cigarette lighter plug was supposed to do (make you taller, regrow hair, end world hunger), there are only two wires in, and everyone guessed there was just a little red light that blinked.

IF there was a capacitor
IF it was large enough
IF the car had a particularly nasty alternator
The battery things could have made life easier for the ecu.
IF the ecu didn't already have power filtering circuits

Oh and there is nothing that can be bought and installed as is on all makes and all models to improve fuel economy.

The point of their video was to show that these things ARE being sold and mugs ARE buying them.

Is there a U.K. to U.S. English translator?
How about text to English? I would pay money for that!
