building a smoke generator for aero testing.

Finally came up with a solid design. Im still working on the hangers and a magnetic mount also.
It is similar to an industrial drain snake head / hydro blast tip.
Bullet nose shape 1/2"x4long steel tubing packed with crushed up and compressed mosquito coil kept in place and impregnated into a coarse steel wool and perhaps saw dust??
Trial and error will be required for best effects without laying flaming embers over the car lol.
Its funny thinking about it but I could probbably ignite the back seat and worse.
The key to sucess is in hollow point nose hole diameter and length of tube and packing materials/density.
I will keep all abrest of sucess and mabe get a few piks in action in pace vehicle later.
My Idea is to see the aero mod effects better at variable speeds.
I believe most results but tuft testing only goes so far and doesnt give good variables.
For others who diddnt read my intro when I came to this group months back I thought it would be easy to aero test correctly, I attempted mists and such but they only go so far because of density issues and recompression in focal layer. simple terms hit in my windshield without any flow visable. even tried rubbing alcohol and hairspray etc.
Ok thats all I got for now, but I will try to make design very simple using only basic tools and ingrediants.

Promise to do my best, and also keep it simple where anyone can copy it.
What good is a complex idea when shared with the masses.
I chose steel so it can be held to metallic parts but will still require extension for 3' before car testing. I really want to see compressive forces at nose and break away point where it sneaks under air dam. etc things like that.
I believe I will be surprised at how speed varience effects my diff mods.
I strive for best case with what I have to work with and that aint much for a budget.
Already started it 1/2" welded steel tubing 1/16th wall thickness cut 6" 13 deg. radius ground entrance holes top and both sides #50 drill starting top at 1.25" every inch L/h starting 1.5" then every inch.r/h first 1.75 then every inch. that should help things in combustion chamber and drill burrs and weld joint inside should help hold impregnated steel wool inside after compression.
now mixture and compression then inlet air metering if required migh not need if compression is well packed, and will burn without showers of flaming bits????

I've never seen a smoke trail being used outside of the wind tunnel.

hit snag

mixture doesnt seem to work out I diddnt have compressed air to assist it, but I am thinking of Tallow if it can get hot enough it will burn and smoke galore. I am open for Ideas here just dont trick me into making a bomb lol.
So mabe very fine wash powders added.?????

What is your plan once you have it working?

The plan

is to Post them in specific areas of car to true test aero at varying speeds.
Im working on a hiway speed car best case of 64-72mph.
Im not going to have the Undieing POS too much longer so gota get figures down now. I have some 5/32" 4160 that can post them b4 car in stream 2+ feet.
But really I actually am a complete nerd and want to leave smoker trails as I drive for attention.

The SAE had a whole book published pertaining to flow imaging as of 1990.
Shell Oil Co. makes an ONDINA oil which has been used to create a non-toxic smoke for wind tunnel testing.
Shell probably has a website which could lead you closer.
