Decades ago, the Texas Department of State Troopers put out a bumper sticker that read " The Texas Department of State Troopers says DON'T drink & drive !
They wanted to make an impact and had the " DON'T " printed in red.

As any graphic artist knows, red fades before blue.

After a few months, they had hundreds of cars that had bumper stickers that read " The Texas Department of State Troopers says _____drink and drive !

FAIL !

Arragonis -- I was going to call you on a typo but it turns out that you are more correct:
Quote:
Scottish National Dictionary (1700–)
...
DWADLE, v. To loiter, to tarry (Cai., Slg., Fif., Kcb. 1950). Also in s.Chs. dial. [′dwɑdəl] Kcb. 1890 A. J. Armstrong Musings 153:
The lordlin' dwadles by his leddy's bo'er, An' nimbly prances in his silken shoon.
[Variant of dawdle.]

I'd thought is was spelt 'dwaddle'.
