i used to work for a towing company
we had a contract for uhaul
they keep good tires & brakes on their equipment in most cases
but they don't worry much about the other stuff
if i had to rent a truck to do a long move i would pay a little extra & rent from Penskie. they have a fleet of newer equipment not old junk.
