Hmmm I dont know but highly doubt that it went up, I mean common how could that possibly be true?? (more frontal area, turbulance behind the mirror, disturbance to side flow which in turn creates turbulance on the rear, etc)... Hmmm...

mine are more or less rectangular but almost 4"wide
i like them better than normal mirrors
plus i can see myself and my passenger in them
