Why I emphasized “trip plan”. Driving breaks down into legs during the day. Set those stop points in advance. Make the first trip the template for the second and others.
Abilene to just north of OKC first day? The stop points that are in the same direction of travel AND just past any intersection prior to highway entrance ramp yet still on the frontage road are lowest penalty. After that is How to Park.
There WILL be instances of needing to back. If for no other reason than getting rig out of way of others. Meaning, always straightened once parked.
Satellite views of chosen facility easiest. Best exit trumps easiest entrance.
