Yeah.. My den floor gets kinda chilly during cold weather. Adding some R-10 might help.

The wind just whips under the deck and just Pumps the heat out of the room..

Last week, we covered the side (4)windows with clear shrink film.
I'll never get Anderson sliding windows again!

IMHO the contractor should have installed better insulation all around..

Anyways, driving all the way home under 35 MPH.. That load (and all the red lights) gave me 21.5 MPG...

Who needs a roof rack?

Just get plenty of wood to burn and keep warm all winter!

I lived in a rental unit this past year. In the summer my elec bill was about 50/mo @7c/kwh (i think). In january it was 400 dollars due to baseboard heaters and I woke up one morning and it was 11 degrees in the house... the basement was probably about 5*. I LOATH my slumlord.

Now happily residing in my own home with forced air furnace. Will be slowly renovating it to update and keeping insulation in mind the whole way.

edit, i just crunched the numbers, that was a total of 5.7MWh of elec in that month if my pricing was correct.
