Here's a very convenient way to calibrate your odometer: use Google Maps to get the actual distance between two points, and then drive your car over that same route and then compare them. Do this for several different locations, and if the correction factor is close on the various routes, then you can say you know the right correction factor.

Like all calibration methods -- the longer the distances, the better.

Our van is screwy. We first noticed when using the GPS; the speeds didn't match. However, it was spot on with all our other cars. The speedometer displays a higher speed than the vehicle is traveling.

Just checked mine it's DEad onn haha that's almost dead on haha it's 1.1 miles real / 1 mile odometer
